What We Believe according to the Bible
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired and infallible Word of the Almighty God. We believe God is Infinite, Sovereign, and Holy. He is the Creator and Supreme Ruler of all the universe. God exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in Divine perfection while executing harmonious yet distinct offices in the great work of God. He is both the Son of God and God the Son. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is the agent of new birth. He seals, guides, comforts, teaches, sanctifies and indwells every believer.
We believe in the Genesis account of creation and the fall and total depravity of man. Eternal life and salvation is through Jesus Christ and faith in vicarious atonement for our sins. Jesus is the all-sufficient Savior and there is none other. Salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers who are in a covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel. The true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission - make disciples, baptize them by immersion in water, and teach and instruct them in God's Word. We also believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion of a believer in water.
We also believe there will be a resurrection of the saved and a translation of the living saints at the personal, visible, bodily, pre-millennial return of Christ. There will also be a resurrection of the unsaved to stand before God in judgment. We believe in a literal Heaven for the saved and a literal Hell for the unsaved.
